Park Town Hotel has a 10000 sq ft meeting space split in 9 rooms. 173 room, 7-story, full-service hotel located in downtown Saskatoon along the banks of the South Saskatchewan River. The hotel has a total of 3 Food and Beverage outlets. The Rooms and catering space just went through an extensive renovations.
The Banquet Server is responsible for checking the entire set-up, serving and clearing of Banquet rooms, service the guest and provide excellent customer service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service
Assist guests regarding Event Details in an informative and helpful way
Server all food and beverage items for assigned banquet meetings at prescribed times
Have full knowledge of beverage lists
Proper and clean uniform with name tag
Cross training with the different position in the Banquet department
Follow daily checklists
Attend all department meetings
Have full knowledge of all menu items being served
Follow outlet policies, procedures and service standards
Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage
Bring the food from main kitchen to the Banquet and after the function is over return the food back to the kitchen
Clear all chinaware, silverware and glassware from the banquet room
Wash all the utensils and properly stag them
Help other Team Member when not busy
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Requires standing/walking/bending throughout shift
Great customer service skills
Able to work all shifts and flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
Minimum of 19 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages
Excellent communication skills and an eye for detail and the ability to multi-task.
This position will also earn banquet gratuities.
