Description

Crown Shred & Recycling currently has a position available for a permanent, full-time Shop Manager for the Regina Material Recycling Facility (MRF).

Duties include a wide range of activities including, but not limited to:

  Directly supervise, deploy personnel and plan equipment for MRF operations based on weekly plans, production targets and requirements of customers using quality standards and safe, efficient, environmentally acceptable practices;

Carry out regular safety inspections of all areas to ensure that operations are being carried out in a safe and responsible manner in compliance with the OHS Act, WHMIS, the MRFs Procedures;

Prepare and complete the necessary production documents;

    Attending meetings and training sessions;

Communicate work cooperatively with General Manager to ensure equipment is maintained while maximizing production;

Review safety incidents and conduct reviews as required;

  Assuming other duties and responsibilities as may be required in response to changing circumstances and the economical and physical environment of the Company. The employee will regularly work in outside weather conditions; will frequently work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.  Operating Powered Mobile Equipment will be required

The ideal candidate will:
    Be a high school grad or equivalent;
    Must already have a Canadian Work Permit,
Have a minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/plant environment
  Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to ensure departmental objectives are achieved;
  Be a highly motivated self-starter, possessing good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  Valid driver's license
