Description

SIGN is looking for a passionate, self-motivated individual with an interest in working with families and young children to fulfill the Casual Position of Early Years Worker for the Yorkton Family Resource Centre.

Duties for this position is under the supervision & direction provided by the Early Years Facilitator/Early Years Programmers:

    Welcoming all families that come to the Centre. Demonstrate collaborative working relationships with families, children and community partners; welcoming them into the Centre and striving to ensure their visit was positive.  
    Help with checking in families using an ipad/computer.
    Registering new families - tour the place, help families with paperwork, share our calendar.
    Entering new registrations into the database using the ipad/computer.
    Promoting upcoming programs happening at the centre and the community.
    Being available onsite, if parents have questions or concerns.  Help with childcare when families are participating in programs or when parents are meeting with agencies.
    Maintain the physical space ensuring appropriate and adequate resources are available and the environment is safe and clean.  Assist in cleaning and sanitation of equipment and toys.
    Work collaboratively as part of a team with staff, volunteers, contracted agencies and assist them when necessary.
    Ability to work flexible hours  daytime, early evenings and weekends

Qualifications:
    Background in Education/Early Childhood Development  experience and education.
    Experience working with young children.
    Knowledge and experience using computers and IPad technology.
    Must be willing to have a Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check completed.
    Valid First Aid/CPR.
