Instructors, English as a Second Language
Part-Time and Full-Time Positions
A & L Royal Academy English Language School is seeking experienced part-time and full-time instructors to start in late August 2019.
Possible Positions available:
English for Academic Purposes instructor, starting part time, progressing to full time based on student enrolment.
English for High School instructor, starting part time, progressing to full time based on student enrolment.
Instructors:
Provide a highly engaging and effective English learning experience to adults and high school students through the delivery of innovative and immersive educational content.
Actively engage students by running dynamic, student-centered classes
Teach students the four language skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing
Measure progress and educational results.
Deliver courses as described in the curriculum.
Prepare materials that fulfill course objectives.
Create and submit lesson plans, assignment and activities as per course requirements.
Provide ongoing and final student evaluation.
Attend teacher orientations and program forums.
Collaborate with fellow instructors, sharing resources, experiences and solutions
Participate in staff meetings and assist with placement testing.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree
Canada recognized TESL/TESOL/CELTA Certification
English language fluency in speaking, reading and writing
Strong grammar skills
A Can-Do attitude
6 months experience teaching ESL preferred but we are also interested in new graduates.
Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends
Must be a team player
