The Ministry of Energy and Resources, Forestry Development Branch is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as the Senior Forestry Analyst.

You will be responsible for the preparation of economic and revenue forecasts for forest products, the compilation and maintenance of statistical information collected by the branch, and to monitor and analyze forest products markets and provide recommendations to senior management on forestry development issues. You will lead the development and review of timber royalty regulations for Saskatchewan, including the development and maintenance of computer models related to these activities.

Our candidate of choice will have knowledge of current issues, trends and sources of information related to the forestry sector, and quantitative and qualitative research methodologies.

The knowledge and skills required for this position would typically be demonstrated by the completion of a Master's Degree in Business Administration, Economics or Forestry, and experience in research, analysis and presentation of data. Other candidates may be considered based on their education and experience.
