The HSE Representative is responsible for all HSE related activities. The position will influence behavior and inspire commitment on the part of all personnel, in complying with the Companys safety, environmental standards and maintaining a safe work environment. This individual will be a Safety Champion
Role will be accountable to perform the following:
Ensure consistent adherence to and execution of Company safety and environmental standards
Facilitates the on boarding and HSE orientation for new employees
Participate in the JOHSC Committee
Conduct monthly drills
Maintain good record keeping
Maintain and advise appropriate parties on the following QHSE documentation:
Master Action Register
Safety Observation Card Tracking Matrix
Key Performance Indicators
Training Certificates
Incident Investigations
Weekly HSE reporting to Management
NCSO Certification or equivalent
Proficient in MS Office, Word and Excel
H2S Alive, WHMIS, TDG, Confined Space Entry, First Aid, eRail requirements
Experience in the oil industry and/or rail experience an asset
Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication to collaborate with various levels of employees and management
Strong planner/organizer, takes initiative, adapts quickly to change, high level of work standard
Acts with integrity, open/honest communication, respecting others, working together with team, strong commitment to HSE and continuous improvement
Excellent communication abilities to engage employees and contractors
Exudes a high level of positive energy and is self motivated with unquestionable ethics and integrity
Effective in being both strategic and tactical
Possess the ability to be interactive with management and co-workers
Positive attitude with the desire for continued learning
