Youth Worker- EGADZ Summer 2019
The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. - EGADZ requires One Summer Youth Workers to help facilitate our Summer Camps project.
This is a term position for approximately 8-9 weeks with 35 hours per week.
EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.
The EGADZ Summer 2019 position is a fun and energetic opportunity to facilitate activities this summer for the youth who access services with EGADZ. Duties will include organizing and facilitating activities, supervision and support of youth, planning and implementation of activities. The successful applicants will have a strong knowledge of First Nations culture, be energetic and independent, have experience working with youth, and lead a positive lifestyle.
Water safety/Lifeguard qualifications are an asset.
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both.
Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff.
Experience with camping and the outdoors
Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
Knowledge of Aboriginal and cultures and issues
Must have a valid drivers license that reflects a safe driving record - A Driver's Abstract is Required.

Salaries are based on the EGADZ grant current salary grid. $17.50
