- Coordinate and deliver adult programming services (youth through seniors) under the supervision of the Branch Manager.
- Assist in the delivery of public library services from a city public library branch.
- Provide reference services.
- Operate the circulation desk.
- Use the full range of equipment, hardware & software available as well as search the library's electronic information sources.
- Work in cooperation with the Children's Program Coordinator, in a supervisory capacity in the absence of the Branch Manager.
Qualifications:
- Keyboarding speed of 30 wpm.
- Superior interpersonal, time management and problem-solving skills.
- Possession of a valid drivers license and willingness to travel (as required).
- Ability to lift and move library materials (up to 20kg).
- Willingness to work varied hours (i.e. evenings and weekends) as may be required.
- Library experience is an asset.
Education: 2 years or more relevant post-secondary training.
Applicants must have experience working on programming for adults, with the ability to design, promote, and deliver creative, as well as effective programs.
