POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the Engineering Technologist completes a wide variety of technical and design tasks through efforts such as communicating and liaising with a wide variety of stakeholders, creating drawings, updating projects, and ensuring continuous improvement through cost reductions and product maintenance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Liaise with customers, subcontractors and SSC to help solve day-to-day issues and ensure custom products meet required specifications
    Communicate regularly with production department to ensure accuracy of engineered drawings
    Liaise with buyer to ensure parts and material meet specifications provided by the end customer or end user: applicable codes or internal specifications.
    Provide technical information support to outside sales team and R&D
    Use AutoDesk Inventor and Auto CAD to produce shop drawings for custom and standard tanks for fabrication
    Create and maintain standard drawing database through AutoDesk Vault
    Assist Sales from conceptualization through drafting and component selection
    Verify that all drawings and jobs meet applicable codes
    Create, maintain, and enter data regarding bills of materials, routings, and part numbers in ERP (SAP) system
    Maintain and follow ISO 9001:200 Engineering processes, procedures and documentation
    Participate in production meetings
    Participate in the maintenance of product manuals and instruction documents, and maintain and update those manuals and documents
    Work with a sense of urgency in order to prioritize work to meet critical objectives and deadlines
    Complete documentation packages
    Provide manufacturing support to operations
    Provide input for new product designs
    Revise and create design standards as required
