The Saskatchewan College of Pharmacy Professionals (SCPP) is offering an opportunity for interested individuals to contribute to our self-governing, public protection mandate. We are looking for a dynamic pharmacist to join our Policy and Legislation team as a Pharmacy Policy and Practice Consultant. This position will support the development, implementation and maintenance of SCPP policies, standards and bylaws, and provide guidance on application to pharmacy practice. Although this position reports directly to the Director of Policy and Legislation it will work closely with all divisions in support of SCPPs priorities related to monitoring pharmacy operations/systems, professional practice, registration and licensing, and quality improvement. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The Pharmacy Policy and Practice Consultant must have extensive knowledge of legislation relative to pharmacy practice; in-depth understanding of the health care system; experience with regulatory or public policy development or with their implementation in a pharmacy practice setting; exceptional communication skills with ability to analyze and summarize complex information for a variety of audiences. Experience in measurement or quality improvement an asset.
The successful candidate will have at least five (5) years of relevant work experience in pharmacy practice, a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, and eligible for licensure with the SCPP.
