Heartland Livestock Services is a full service livestock marketing organization serving Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Alberta for over 50 years. Heartland will continue to provide livestock producers with innovative and effective services that add value to your livestock business. This team has a career opportunity for a Yard Clerk at its Swift Current marketing center.
As a Yard Clerk, you will be responsible for:
Performing office clerical responsibilities in compiling producer settlements for livestock sales;
Preparing invoices for livestock buyers for livestock purchases;
Posting transactions;
Typing cheques, forms and statements;
Putting accurate postage on outgoing mail; and
Other duties as required.
The successful candidate will have Grade 12, or the equivalent, supplemented by office clerical experience. Other requirements include: knowledge of regular office procedures; ability to meet and deal with the public in a courteous manner; ability to learn and operate a computer terminal and capable of neat and accurate work. Livestock and/or data entry experience is considered an asset.
