The Kinistin Saulteaux Nation is seeking an energetic, qualified and reliable individual to work out of the Kinistin Administration office, located on the Kinistin First Nation. The Band Manager will lead the organization and its personnel in achieving the organizations mandate, goals and objectives and is responsible for the overall development, implementation, administration, and management of the day to day operations of the Kinistin Saulteaux Nation.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
1. Ensure the financial management of the organization is in accordance with approved policies and procedures, direct the development and implementation of annual budgets, and submit prepared financial reports to Chief and Council on a monthly or regular basis.
2. Must have knowledge of ISC (Indigenous Services Canada), Health Canada, and other First Nation funding agencies.
Qualification:
A degree from a recognized educational institution in business administration, commerce, management accounting, finance management, or equivalent educational and experienced background.
Minimum five years senior management experience
Must be knowledgeable and experienced in ACCPAC, GAAP, Budgeting, and Human Resource Management.
Knowledge and experience in working with First Nation people, and an understanding of the particular issues encountered by First Nation people.
