Description

Reporting to the Concrete Foreman, our Concrete Truck Drivers deliver concrete to site as needed while maintaining their vehicles.

Job Duties:
-Abide by Company Safety Program and Policies, while performing duties safely.
-Perform a pre and post-trip safety check on equipment and the truck to assure a safe vehicle. Document any maintenance that may be required.
-Backs truck under loading hopper, starts mixer to receive concrete.
-Drives truck to designated job site for unloading. Must distinguish between safe and unsafe conditions at the job site, in traffic and throughout plant areas.
-Assembles concrete chute and attaches chute to the back of the truck. Controls appropriate levers on truck to discharge concrete according to specifications from the contractor into a wheelbarrow or other conveying container or directly into area to be poured with concrete.
-If appropriate, wash out truck at the job site and replace chute on truck after delivery to prevent concrete from hardening in mixer and on truck
-Sprays surfaces of truck with protective compound to prevent adhering of concrete as needed
-Perform minor maintenance to the assigned vehicle
-Repair/maintenance in the plant area, yard clean-up, pallet repair
-Miscellaneous duties as assigned

Requirements:
-1  5 years of concrete driving experience
-Valid drivers license (minimum Class 3A) with the ability to get to and from site
-Clean drivers abstract (please attached a copy of your abstract to your application)
-Ability to perform strenuous, physical tasks on a daily basis
-High attention to detail with strong values rooted in health and safety
-Ability to work in a high paced environment with high physical demand
-Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
-Flexibility to work overtime as needed
-Steel-toe safety boots are required
