Smiths Insurance is a general insurance agency & SGI motor license issuer in central Regina.  We work independently with insurance companies to find the best fit for our clients, and after 38 years and recently expanding into our new location, we are looking for Part-time Summer Student SGI Issuer/Insurance Service Representative.  This job benefits 1st of 2nd year students the most, those who are looking for both part-time hours during class semesters and additional (up to full-time) hours during the summer months.

REQUIREMENTS

* Must be able to work flexible hours (evenings and weekends)
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Excellent organizational and computer skills
* Able to multi-task while working with others
* Acceptable criminal record check
* Grade 12 or equivalent required
* SGI issuing experience, auto licence/level 1 licence, or sales experience an asset

RESPONSIBILITIES

* First contact with new and existing clients for SGI motor license issuing (plate registrations, drivers licences, etc.)
* Educate customers clients on SGI Auto Fund policy, procedures, and products
* Assist with preparing insurance documents such as renewals, changes, and quotes
* Reach clients in person, by phone, and email to review existing coverage and develop new business
* Collecting payments and producing invoices
* Assist with various other office functions as needed
