Adecco is currently recruiting an Automation SCADA Engineer for one of our TOP clients in Regina, Saskatchewan. To qualify for this Automation SCADA Engineer role, you must have a degree in Electronics, Electrical or Software Systems and 3 to 10 years of experience.
Automation SCADA Engineer job responsibilities:
- Monitor SCADA hosts and facilities to identify problem areas, and maintain target availability levels (98% communications, 99.99% hardware)
- Ensure internal systems and external interfaces/processes are adequately documented to facilitate troubleshooting and maintenance processes.
- Resolve SCADA system problems within specified time criteria.
- Development of new SCADA display management standards and organization of existing display files
- Development of a Visual Basic / XE programming standard for TGL displays
- Develop HMI displays with input from users
- Participate as a technical resource in the upgrade of the SCADA system application
- Exercise lab testing of SCADA displays
- Exercise commissioning of the SCADA system database
- SCADA system database administration and commissioning related to projects
Qualifications:
- Preferred - Degree in Electronics, Electrical or Software Systems Engineering and Professional Engineer Designation registered to practice in Saskatchewan.
- Alternative - Degree in other Industrial Engineering considered with experience in SCADA, Computers and Networks
Experience with the following would be beneficial:
- MS Office, Share Point
- SCADA systems and communications networks in the oil and gas industry
- Competency in software, computer, communications and cyber security
- Working knowledge of SCADA best practices, standards, and operating procedures.
