The incumbent shall be accountable for the negotiation and administration of major subcontracts,coordinate and develop business relationships with internal departments and perform specialized functions in supplier support. The Commercial and procurement teams at NFTC will report to the Commercial Lead.
This position will report directly into the Manager Strategic Sourcing position. and also have an indirect line of accountability to the Director of NFTC Operations.
The incumbent will be responsible to:
Maintain good working relationship with internal and external stakeholders; negotiate, administer and monitor major subcontracts and subcontractors' performance and deliverables; develop, solicit and evaluate bids and proposals; ensure flow down of applicable terms and conditions from prime contract is considerably captured in subcontracts; ensure compliance with ISO Quality standards, Canadian government procurement policies, ITAR, Controlled Goods and Industrial Security. Evaluate business opportunities and develop risk-mitigation strategies;
Develop and maintain subcontracts within and across disciplines and sectors' coordinate subcontractor performance review meetings; draft, edit, manage and control contractual correspondence and documentation;
Manage team of buyers and subcontract administrators assigned to NFTC.
Participate in and contribute to NFTC Leadership Team initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have:
A Bachelors Degree in Business, Administration, Commerce or Law;
Successful experience leading a team;
8-12 years of experience working in Contract and/or Commercial Management or Supplier Management;
Significant experience negotiating complex agreements;
Preference will be given to an individual who has experience working within the Aerospace industry;
An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be considered.
