Description

We are currently seeking a Director, Human Resources with Hillberg & Berk to lead our human resources team. Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer/Chief Financial Officer, you'll be responsible for creating the vision and building and implementing the people strategy for the organization and human resources team. You will build HR programming and strategy as well as expand on existing HR practices. You will work alongside the HR team to bring this vision to life. Youre a purpose and values driven individual that wants to be a part of an amazing purpose driven organization.

We're looking for a confident coach, a respected leader and someone who cares as much about developing the team as they do the organization as a whole. You'll be responsible for leading all areas of human resource management including compensation, talent management, employee relations, policies and procedures, HR strategy and organizational effectiveness as well as payroll and benefits. You're an expert with HR metrics and data analytics and have experience reporting on the return on investment of HR programs and service delivery to an executive team.

You have over 10 years of experience in progressing levels of responsibility including senior leadership. Ideally, you possess a post-secondary education in human resources, coupled with professional development such as change management, coaching, job evaluation, organizational design, strategy, and employee relations. A CPHR designation or equivalent is required as well as previous experience as a senior leader. As our growth strategy expands outside of Canada, applicants with knowledge and experience with global, North American or national HR practices is preferred. Previous experience on a human resources team in the following industries is an asset: retail and supply chain.
