Meadow Lake Mechanical Pulp Inc. is the world's first successful zero-effluent-discharge
market pulp mill that is a state-of-the-art, chlorine-free bleached chemi-thermo mechanical
pulp (BCTMP) facility with approximately 200 employees and an annual production capacity
of 414,000 ADMT.

Reporting to the Mill Manager, the incumbent will provide strategic direction and leadership to the Hu-man Resources department, managing department staff in a collaborative, team environment while en-suring safety standards and full compliance to regulatory requirements are met.
Responsibilities:
- Provides strategic Human Resources leadership in the development and direction of HR programs and HR change efforts
- Supports General Manager in implementing and evaluating internal safety system
- Provides functional guidance to the leadership team in various systems: employee relations work-force management diversity, employment equity, employee assistance programs and performance management
- Provides leadership to ensure the company attracts, develops and retains talent and fosters an envi-ronment that motivates a diverse team in achieving desired business results
Qualifications:
- Minimum two years of Supply Chain &/or Logistics experience is desired
- Possess situational awareness with the ability to adapt to new and changing environments
- Ability to maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail
- Self motivated with the ability to meet tight deadlines with multiple priorities
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications & database management
- Ability to establish and maintain supportive working relationships
