Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client, a leader in their industry to recruit a Network and Systems Administrator for their Saskatoon location. Our customer requires someone who can troubleshoot and maintain computer equipment and also collaborate with business teams on improving corporate technology use and streamlining IT infrastructure improvements with IT infrastructure contractors. The Role:
Receive requests regarding problems with computer equipment and software, and address the problem in a timely manner
Identify and resolve hardware or software issues, determine solutions and provide technical support as appropriate
Perform diagnostics and other applicable tests on hard drives, video cards, etc., and contact proper vendor or manufacturer for repair/replacement as necessary
Configure and reconfigure laptops to be deployed into the field or redeployed to other users
Draft, implement and comply with all Service Desk and IT policies and procedures
Collaborate with IT contractors on infrastructure road-mapping, scheduled downtime, and troubleshooting on outage/performance issues

The Ideal Candidate:
Relevant training from a technical school or college
A bachelors degree in IT, computer science or a related field is preferred
Minimum of one-year experience in providing IT services
Ability to establish effective rapport with all levels of employees and provide professional customer service
Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Windows, iOS and Citrix
