Description

Under the supervision of the Director of Judicial Programs, Reintegration Caseworker will provide direct services for hard to serve clients who are incarcerated and/or on probation orders within the community

Assist in providing life skills development:
Promote positive independent problem solving & decision making skills
Provide information & life skills support to clients
Teach self-advocacy to clients

Provide crisis intervention & behavioral support
Stabilization crisis support
Incidental problem solving & emotional support to clients
Emergency/incidental behavior management

Assist in case management and support for clients; implements risk reductive case plans
Working in partnership with staff within the Correctional Facilities
Providing support for incarcerated clients
Direct clients to the appropriate resources
Seeks out new resources within community for clients
Liaison with the Federal & Provincial correctional facilities
Provide info & risk relapse prevention programming to clients to assist in decreasing risk & increase self-awareness & skills helping to recognize/manage triggers related to clients criminal cycle

Ability to provide effective/accurate written documentation
Assist in developing & maintaining risk reductive/emergency response plans & personal safety plans with individual clients
Report all incident of suspected abuse to appropriate authorities & follow organizations protocols
Other duties as assigned

Min 1 year work experience with outreach in justice system & 1 year work experience in program facilitation in justice system
First Aid/CPR
Suicide Intervention training
Non-Violent Crisis Intervention
Circle of Courage training
Mental Health First Aid
SASSI Assessment Certification
Choice Theory/Cognitive Behavioral Therapy training
Motivational Interviewing training
Tipi Teachings, Medicine Wheel Teachings or other First Nations Cultural training
Valid drivers license
