Facility: Saskatoon City Hospital
Job Description: The Clinical Coordinator, under the direction of the Manager, is primarily accountable for the system navigation and coordination of patient flow on the nursing unit. This is achieved by the Coordinator having an ongoing awareness and involvement in workflow of the unit. Duties include bed management, discharge planning, advocating for the patient/family, patient care, supply and equipment management, and assisting with staff scheduling.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree/Diploma in Nursing
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Current CPR Certification
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years recent acute care nursing experience, three (3) of which must be in the specific clinical area.

NOTE: This is a Provincial Posting and is open to all SUN members within the bargaining unit as per Articles 27.02 and 27.05 of the SUN Collective Bargaining Agreement. First preference will be given to employees of the SKHA (Saskatoon) and its affiliated agencies.

- Previous supervisory experience would be an asset.
- Self motivated and self directed.
- Knowledge of leadership strategies in order to lead, encourage, advise and cooperate with colleagues to promote and maintain positive relationships, to achieve patient, team and organizational goals within available resources.
- Knowledge of current trends, issues and perspectives of nursing in the specific clinical area.
- Knowledge of communication techniques and approaches in order to adapt to multiple and ever changing situations and environments.
- Knowledge of critical thinking processes in order to creatively solve problems in an open and resourceful mann
