Job Description: Under the general supervision of the Home Care Manager, the home care nurse provides nursing services as assigned in accordance with the current Home Care Nursing Manual and SRNA Practice Standards.

Education:
-    Current registration with Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association
-    Possess current CPR certification
-    Minimum of 2 years related experience in community or geriatric nursing preferred

The home care nurse is responsible for the following health care services including but not limited to:
-    utilization of the nursing process in all nursing actions
-    provision of professional home nursing service to clients as assigned
-    maintenance of accurate progress of records of clients care
-    maintenance of up-date care plans
-    management of assigned caseload
-    Ability to follow the nursing process of: data collection, assessment, planning, intervention, evaluation in all client care
-    Ability to ensure client load managed and delivered as assigned by the Home Care Manager
-    Provide appropriate health teaching to clients and family
-    Maintenance of accurate progress notes and treatment records following each home visit
-    Ability to participate in case conferences of clients with other care providers as scheduled
-    Attendance at relevant in-services and workshops as designated by the Home Care Manager
-    Maintain close liaison with clients and Home Care Manager regarding all concerns and progress of care
-    Ability to ensure a safe work environment for client and self at all times
-    To adhere to the employment policies, safety regulations and Nursing Performance Standards
