Description

The Yorkton Tribal Council Child and Family Services Inc. is seeking a Prevention Services Program Assistant.  This position provides emergent administration support coverage to the program areas and reports to the Community Based Prevention Services Program Manager. The Program Assistant will assist in the preparation, coordination and facilitation of training, meetings and workshops. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to; typing, photocopy, and faxing letters and documents; maintain and update the Program files database, recording and transcribing of minutes; ensure confidential information remains confidential; maintain and coordinate itineraries of the Prevention Program Manager and staff as well as assisting the compilation of quarterly financial reports. The Prevention Services Program Assistant will provide various Prevention support duties to various program areas as required and directed. This person will also be required to answer phones, transfer calls, and take messages when necessary. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism and consideration to clients, colleagues and First Nation communities by their punctuality and dependability to fulfilling their duties on a daily basis.  
    Must possess a Certificate in Office Administration from a recognized training institution or the equivalent of training and work experience in this field.
This person must have ability to utilize computer hardware and software applications and other office equipment. Experience in Data Base applications is a definite asset.
