Facility: Royal University Hospital
Job Description: This unique position is Provincial in nature and acknowledges the link between community and clinics and First Nations.  This position provides DOT/DOP therapy to clients in the community, their home or other locations as well as attending clinics in the North by flying in small charter planes. Applies knowledge and skills in treatment, contact tracing and monitor follow-up to all communities both on and off Reserve in Saskatchewan.  Provides direct client service including directly observed treatment (DOT) and directly observed prophylaxis (DOP) for medication management, needs assessments, clinical coordination of outreach and fixed site services, client and staff education/orientation, resource development, and participation in research for target populations.  Inherent in this role are knowledge, skills and abilities specific to health promotion and primary and secondary prevention strategies.  The TBCNC translates knowledge from the health and social sciences to support health enhancing behaviours of individuals, families and population groups through targeted interventions, programs and advocacy. Other more specific responsibilities may include participating in policy and procedure development, maintaining program databases, performing quality improvement, and serving as a consultant to individuals and groups of health professionals within the province of Saskatchewan.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Registered Nurses Association (SRNA)
Experience
Minimum of 5 yrs. recent experience working in acute care setting.
Minimum of 3 yrs experience working with TB.
Experience as a Community/Public Health Nurse
