Facility: Youth Resource Centre
Job Description: This position will work with adjudicated youth and with other youth populations. The purpose of this psychology position is to work within a multi-disciplinary teams to provide assessment, treatment and consultation services to youth and their families. Youth will be involved in the criminal justice system. Services will need to be provided to youth both in the community and correctional settings. A crucial aspect of working with these youth is to identify educational needs, cognitive abilities; and behavioural and functional concerns (e.g. addiction issues) that may impede their abilities to succeed in school. A central component of this position will be to develop comprehensive case management plans for high risk and high needs youth. Part of the requirements of this position will be to provide training to other professionals/paraprofessionals on strategies to work with adjudicated and nonadjudicated youth. Additional responsibilities may include participation in program development and evaluation, student supervision.
Required Qualifications

Masters Degree in Psychology or Clinical Psychology or Educational Psychology
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists
Experience
Experience working with families, within educational and forensic settings as well as a day treatment setting
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Advanced communication skills
Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
Advanced organizational skills
Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to develop and deliver formal edu
