We are seeking a Legal Assistant Corporate/Commercial Litigation to join ourRegina office for a 12 month maternity leave contract.
In this role, you will be tasked to:
Preparing documents and correspondence in relation to various matters
Communicating directly with clients in a clear and professional manner
File opening, organization of documents, billing, researching and time entry
To be successful in this role, you possess:
Completion of a post-secondary Legal Administration certificate preferred
Administrative experience in a legal environment or similar
A solid understanding of current legal terminology
Fast, accurate keyboarding skills; minimum 60 wpm
Strong dicta transcription skills and ability to transcribe for various practice groups
Strong organizational and time management skills
Excellent proofreading skills (ability to check typed material for grammatical, typographical, spelling, word usage and format errors)
The ability to work independently, follow instructions with minimal supervision and take initiative
Strong organizational and time management skills
Able to deal effectively with deadlines and various responsibilities
