The City of Weyburn is offering an opportunity to work with Public Works & Parks Department as a Parks Technician. As we continue to grow and prosper as a community, we seek a motivated and innovative employee to join our team!

Responsibilities:
- Perform all daily duties associated with Parks infrastructure maintenance and operation;
- Be prepared to take direction and function in a team oriented, fast paced work environment;
- Provide expertise, encouragement and support to summer and seasonal workers;
- Maintain accurate duty logs and maintenance forms;
- Be physically fit and prepared to work in the outdoor environment in all weather conditions;
- Occasionally perform overtime work outside regular hours of operation;
- Participate in the afterhours and weekend "On Call" rotation; and
- Perform all other assigned duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Have completed Grade 12 or equivalent;
- Have and maintain a valid class 5 drivers license; and
- Have a thorough knowledge of best practices and processes as they pertain to general horticulture, landscape and turf maintenance, urban forestry and pest control.

Additional Information:
- Job Status: Permanent full time
- Classification: Unionized, CUPE Local 90
- Wage: Commensurate as per CUPE Local 90 Agreement
