Job Description: GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:

Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology the Network Administrator along with the rest of the Information technology team is responsible for designing, implementing and maintaining the technological infrastructure of the former Kelsey Trail Health Region.  The Network Administrator will ensure the integrity of all electronic information by maintaining appropriate security, backup and disaster recovery strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma in computer technology from a recognized institute OR suitable combination of education and experience.
Familiarity with Workstation and Server operating systems, along with experience in troubleshooting and preventative maintenance of such systems.
Demonstrated ability to provide user support and network administration on current operating systems.
Demonstrated ability for attention to detail, thoroughness, and communication skills.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Install and maintain the network infrastructure including wiring, internal and edge devices such as switches, access points.
Hardware maintenance of Desktop Workstations, Laptops, Data and Application Servers in the Region and for contracted locations.
Responsible for the installation of software applications, updates and patches as required.
Provides on-site and/or remote support for configuration of computer hardware and software.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Along with regular 0800  1600 work hours, this position requires 2 weeks a month at the former Kelsey Trail Health Region (Melfort,SK) and requires 2 weeks per month at the Athabasca Health Region in Stony Rapids, SK.
