Description

SGI is currently recruiting for the position of Director, Technical Research Services to join our team. As director, you'll have both passion and extensive experience working within the collision repair industry.  You'll use these attributes to stay on top of current trends in vehicle construction and repair and will be SGI's subject matter expert in the area.  Leading the research and testing of new technologies, your work will be critical to inform appraisal policies and procedures.  You will manage and monitor research and investigation activities to determine the causes of both fire and mechanical auto losses. You will also oversee the construction and repair of corporate fleet vehicles. As a strategic leader, you will be called upon to provide clear direction on complex appraisals to Claims employees.

Requirements
Candidates must bring the education and experience to succeed in this unique opportunity - after all, we're counting on you.  We are looking for candidates who have a 4-year degree in Business Administration, Mathematics and/or Applied Science. Candidates should have a motor vehicle body repair journeyperson certificate.  Candidates should have at least 10 years of directly related collision repair experience as well as progressively responsible leadership experience. Alternative combinations of relevant education and experience may also be considered.
