Description

Prairie North Co-op is hiring an Accountant at our Administration Office in Melfort, SK.

What youll do:
Monthly Preparation, reconciliation and filing of GST, PST and FFC as per government regulations
Balancing General Ledgers, Posting Payables and Journal Entries
Calling Reports and Data Entry involving deduction and earnings spreadsheets for CRA deductions, employee budgets
Maintaining and balancing Health Premiums for employees on LTD
Biweekly balancing, processing of payroll and wage step tracking
Processing payroll communications (new hire setups, terminations/resignations and Kronos system set up and replacement cards)

Who you are:
You have a Degree/Diploma in Accounting or combination of relevant education/experience
Payroll Practitioner Compliance Certificate is an asset.
You have 3-5 years experience preferred.
You have intermediate computer knowledge specifically in Microsoft Excel.
