The Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance is Saskatchewan's primary tax collection agency. The Division is responsible for the administration of several tax programs including Provincial Sales Tax, Liquor Consumption Tax, Fuel Tax and Tobacco Tax.
We currently have several Junior Business Auditor positions available in Regina. This opportunity will appeal to confident individuals with strong communication and interpersonal skills and knowledge of accounting and auditing principles. Working in a team environment, the positions support the audit programs administered by the Division.
This involves examining accounting information relating to businesses, performing the necessary review, processing documentation and contacting businesses to provide information about how tax relates to their business. In addition, the position will complete audit tests, prepare written reports and provide explanations to taxpayers relating to audit findings.
To succeed, you will be a competent communicator, detail-oriented, organized, analytical, and an individual who thrives on applying initiative. The position will also provide backup for other team members to ensure adequate coverage is maintained.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be acquired through completion of post-secondary education in accounting, auditing or related experience.
