Description

Cosmopolitan Learning Center is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual who has experience working with people with
intellectual and physical disabilities.As a Life Skills/Employment Support Worker,you will be responsible for the implementation of programming in:vocational training,employment support,lifeskills/socialskills training, recreational activities,personal care needs and positive behavior support.The successful candidate will be responsible to transport participants to and from program placements and implement program plans.This position involves working with individuals independently and in team environments in a variety of settings.  All Employees will be required to be flexible to work in any part of the organization at any time to support participants as organizational needs require.

Qualifications
1. Preference will be given to those individuals that have post-secondary education in a related field, and/or related experience
2. Previous experience in regards to persons with disabilities
3. Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with all persons.
4. Excellent public relations skills
5. Is enthusiastic, takes initiative and is self-motivated
6. Excellent organizational, communication and follow up skills
7. Is able to work independently and/or in a team environment, multi task and meet deadlines
8. Excellent ability to problem solve and make sound decisions in challenging situations
9. Knowledge of program development
10. Possess a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle for transporting participants
11. Ability to go in pools/and hot tubs
12. Willingness to obtain security clearance regarding job contracts (specific to Supported Employment Program)
13. Back-up duties as assigned
14. Clear Criminal Record
