Description

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, the Superintendent will oversee the entire construction process on site. This position requires an individual with a high level of professionalism, a demonstrated commitment to safety and an ability to contribute to a positive culture based on mutual trust and respect while delivering results.  As an integral part of the crew, you will supervise, direct, coach, train and mentor the project team including direct and indirect reports.  

Roles & Responsibilities
Ensure the safety compliance of all labor forces including subcontractors;
Ensure all daily reports including: Health and Safety documentation, PSIs and maintenance records are always completed;
Effectively communicate with own forces and trades and ensure that performance, productivity, quality and safety requirements are met;
Analyze specifications, construction drawings, addendums and changes;
Monitor project site, to ensure compliance with design procedures, contract specifications and industries best practices;
Plan and implement schedules with Project Managers;
Maintain project administration correspondence and comply with documentation requirements;
Complete additional assignments and responsibilities as requested by Senior Management.

Qualifications:
Journeyman Carpenter certificate
Must have a valid drivers license
Pre-employment Drug and Alcohol test required
Will be required to apply for security clearances
In-depth knowledge of and experience in commercial construction industry and company operations, including building materials, construction specifications, and methods and procedures.
Proficient understanding of and ability to apply logic to develop a schedule that will provide for the completion of the project on time and within budget
Demonstrated conflict-resolution skills, problem-solving abilities, and professional judgment.
