Santa Maria Senior Citizens Home has an opportunity for an experienced administrative professional. Reporting to the Director of Care as well as providing support to other members of the management team, the Confidential Administrative Assistant will contribute to the efficient operation of the Home. The successful applicant will coordinate timely and efficient administrative systems support, clerical and record-keeping functions, many of a confidential nature. The ability to interact with staff and residents on a daily basis in a professional and positive manner is important.
Qualification and Experience:
- Grade 12 plus graduation from an approved Office Education Training Program
- Must be proficient in the operation of word processing, spreadsheets, PowerPoint, and other programs necessary to support a large range of services
- 3 to 5 years experience in an administrative support position
- Demonstrated communication, interpersonal, public relations, organizational and time management skills are vital
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and exercise sound judgement under pressure
- Experience in a long-term care or health-care setting would be an asset.
