The Education and Outreach Manager is responsible for the designing, planning, administering and promoting all RSO education and outreach programs and activities. The position will represent the RSO to other education, arts, and community groups to support, develop and build working partnerships in the community. The position works with the RSO administration team, RSO musicians, and a variety of partners to develop and manage activities that support the RSOs strategic goals through education and community engagement.
JOB SUMMARY
Education
Cultivate and build strategic partnerships with school divisions, consultants, teachers and other staff to support vibrant programming
Coordinate and manage all aspects of RSO education programs for Link Up, RSO in Schools, Strings for Change, and Meet the Maestro
Coordinate and manage various initiatives with schools related to open dress rehearsals, concert, and other related events
Develop opportunities to build the RSO Soundcheck program to gain new members and deepen engagement and communication
Work with the University of Regina and other post-secondary institutions to support current and new partnership programs and initiatives
Outreach
Coordinate and manage all aspects of RSO outreach programs for Music to my Ears, Free Library Series, Share the Music, and pre-concert activities and performances
Identify and develop education and community engagement initiatives for RSO programming such as Symphony under the Sky, Forward Currents Festival, and other special presentations
Work closely with Executive Director and Production Manager to support strong partnership development for Music on the Road and any related activities that connect with community across southern Saskatchewan
