Description

STC Industrial Construction LP (STCI) is hiring an experienced safety advisor for work at our project locations around Saskatoon, Lanigan, Allan, Patience Lake, and more.

Applicants must have a valid driver license, pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test and be competent using Microsoft Office. Preference is given to candidates with CSO-NCSO designation and previous experience on industrial construction projects with a focus on structural steel and mechanical work.

Key duties:

-Actively participating and engaging others in a culture of safety

-Implementing and monitoring adherence to HSE program and assisting in the revision and updates of policies, procedures and practices

-Inspecting operations to ensure compliance with HSE and Clients HSE programs

-Ensuring sites and equipment satisfy Occupational HSE standards for compliance, audits and protocols

-Undertaking risk assessments, including but not limited to the development of safe work plans, and following up with mitigation

-Ensure all employees are competently trained for assigned tasks and arranging pre-employment requirements

-Collaborating with Supervision

-Investigating, tracking and reporting all near misses, accidents/ incidents, injuries and/ o r unsafe acts or conditions as required

-Communicating information clearly and effectively to all co-workers, foreman and Superintendents

-Working cooperatively with client and client representatives, this includes but is not limited to preparing reports and participating in weekly progress meetings

-Willingness to travel between jobsites and work overtime when required

-Any other duties as may be assigned, from time to time
