Responsibilities include:
-Inspects, repairs, or replaces faulty parts and wiring on motors, generators, power distribution and control panels, breakers, electronic devices, etc.
-Cable tray construction, cable pulling, pipe bending.
-Maintenance and troubleshooting of all Mill and site electrical systems, equipment, and power distribution
-Updating blueprints and documentation
-Establish procedures to locate and correct electrical problems
-Ensure that regulatory, licensing, and company requirements are met
-Install and maintain high, medium, and low voltage power controls on equipment
-Use a variety of tools and equipment such as power mobile equipment, measuring devices, power tools, and testing equipment including ammeters, and test lamps
-Work from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures
-Overtime, call outs, and shift work as required
-Other duties as assigned
-Work closely with mill operations and other departments
-Suggest ways of improving the efficiency of the plant and department
-Possible skill development within the trade, where seen as necessary
-Complies with all Orano health, safety and environmental policies, practices and procedures.
Skills and Qualifications for the position include:
-Valid Saskatchewan Journeyman Electrical Certificate
-5+ years of experience in industrial maintenance
-Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) experience would be an asset
-High voltage experience would be an asset
-Generator experience would be an asset
-Safety conscious, self-motivated, proficient communication skills, long-term career goals, exceptional work ethic
Work Location & Schedule:
-McClean Lake Mine site
-3 month term position
-7 days in and 7 days out rotating schedule
-Normally an 11 hour work day, although some activity outside of normal working hours may be required
