Description

Kelly Panteluk Construction Ltd. (KPCL) is hiring an experienced heavy-duty mechanic for work around Saskatoon-based projects and at our project locations throughout the province.

Applicants must have a valid driver license and meet Fitness for Duty requirements. Preference will be given to candidates with Journeyman or Red Seal accreditation.

Key duties include:
A. Actively participating, promoting and engaging others in a culture of safety among employees, subcontractors and clients;
B. Efficiently troubleshooting, diagnosing and performing cost-effective repairs on heavy equipment and trucks;
C. Inspecting and performing regular maintenance or as needed repairs on highway trucks, trailers, and, as required, heavy equipment;
D. Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics proficiently;
E. Documenting tasks completed as part of repairs and preventative maintenance program, including ability to use tablet in completion of tasks;
F. Adapting to meet changing priorities, and helping resolve issues and concerns arising in the field on a timely basis;
G. Communicating information clearly and effectively to all co-workers, foreman and Superintendents;
H. Listening and carrying out instructions diligently, and speaking up when instructions are unclear, no t understood or the hazards are not
identified or mitigated;
I. Mentoring and supporting employees pursuing trades person designations;
J. Willingness to travel between jobsites and work overtime when required; and
K. Any other duties as may be assigned by Employer, from time to time.

Other:
- Accommodations and meal services are provided at a temporary work camp for some sites
- Enrollment in hourbank benefits program after the completion of a two-month probationary period
