The Saskatchewan Health Authority(SHA), Southeast Area invites applications for the position of family physician in a rural family medicine practice in the town of Fort QuAppelle, Saskatchewan. The Touchwood QuAppelle Primary Health Care Network provides core and rotational services to Fort QuAppelle, Balcarres, Lestock and Raymore. Based out of the Fort QuAppelle Primary Health Care Centre. The physician will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team in providing primary health care services to the community of 2500 (increased population in summer months), the rural municipalities, and the File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council communities.
Qualifications:
This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
The candidate will hold certification or be eligible for certification from the College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC). Applicants will be eligible for a provisional or regular license to practice in Saskatchewan. Applicants will also hold ACLS certification.
In accordance with immigration requirements, preference will be given to Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada.
The successful applicant is expected to participate in the undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing medical education programs of the Department of Family Medicine in the Regina Area.
The start date for this position is negotiable. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled.
