Under the supervision of the Director of Childcare Services, the Assistant Manager, School Age Programs is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the programs. This person will create a positive environment for the children, staff, and families. The Assistant Manager will develop the programming that the children take part in.
Responsibilities include:
In collaboration with the Director of Childcare Services, oversee all human resources requirements, including staffing, training, payroll requirements, coaching, and completing regular performance reviews and accountability agreements
Establish professional working relationships with other YWCA departments and community partners
Maintain staff schedule and assist with shifts as needed
Communicate professionally, effectively and respectfully with children, families, and staff
Coordinating fee collection and maintaining monthly ledgers; maintain monthly budget tracker
Maintain an up-to-date waitlist and enrolling children as needed
Qualifications:
A working knowledge of program needs, development, and implementation
A sound knowledge of child development
Prior experience with School Age programming
ECE II, ECE III, or a combination of education and experience
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.)
- First Aid Certificate
- Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree
