Description

To provide emotional support, information, referrals, and advocacy to assist former students of the Indian Residential School System and their immediate family members, support individuals and community. This position also requires presentation planning, delivering education on various aspects of the IRS system, MMWIG, cultural diversity and understanding and the effects of Intergenerational Impacts. Ability to speak an Aboriginal Language an asset. Must be able to facilitate groups such as anger management, healing circles, domestic violence, addictions and others as needed. Be able to plan cultural related events and activities. MUST have knowledge of the Impacts of Indian Residential Schools, knowledge and awareness of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls, Sixties Scoop. Please include references with resume
