Description

As a leader of an addictions service stream in an integrated community environment, and under the general direction of Executive Director, This Out of Scope position is responsible for the day to day development, implementation, staff selection and training and evaluation of Integrated Community Programs. This integrated position addresses the addictions and mental health needs of adult clients with evidence based/best practice responses. This position provides clinical supervision/support to other workers in the social detoxification, and residential support programs.  The incumbent is responsible for clinical lead duties, clinical case management, program development and implementation, staff supervision, evaluation and training, community education and partnership activities. On call duty required.
Participates in  program planning, design and evaluation of community based mental health and addiction services. This includes special projects.
Collaborates with other organizations
Applies theoretical knowledge needed for an effective role in detoxification services, treatment, and residential support services for people impacted by the experience of mental illness and /or addictions.
Applies clinical pathways, documents and informs staff on implementation plans, and provides policy and procedural guidelines in the detoxification and treatment service streams.  
Develops effective processes for intake, discharge, and communications on client progress with those within the clients circle of care.
Develops rehabilitative plans with clients.
Provides required documentation, performance indicators and statistical data to the SHA on a monthly basis.
Conducts effective programming that promotes the recovery of the client. Documents the program and provides the manual and training required by staff, family members (significant others), and clients.
Provides clinical supervision and/or supports to other direct service workers.
