Description

Reporting to the Oil Plant Supervisor, the Oil Plant Operator supports the delivery of excellent customer service, by completing all oil processing operations of various products within production, QA and food safety standards.

Core Responsibilities:
    
Following Good Manufacturing Practices and SOPS, ensures that the crush line is running as per production schedule requirements.
Performs daily inspections and checks on equipment to ensure its in optimal working condition, raises concerns to the oil plant supervisor as required.
Follows and complies with all Company occupational health & safety standards and expectations.
Ensures good housekeeping practices are followed, ensuring work area and equipment is kept clean.
Completes all blends and bulk packaging of product as directed.
Completes all oil bleaching and refining operations as required.
Ensures all emulsion formulation work is completed.
Ensures that all processing activities are accurately recorded.
Attends regular stand-up meetings.
May be required to operate powered lifting equipment.

Qualifications:

Grade 12 or GED equivalent education preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude required.
Previous experience working in a processing, manufacturing or food production facility is preferred.
Must be comfortable with rotating shift work.
Strong teamwork and problem-solving skills required.
Experience operating powered lifting equipment (i.e. forklift) is an asset.
Strong attention to detail is required.
Good communication skills required, including the ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) in English.
