Cypress Paving Ltd is a heavy construction company providing Saskatchewan with aggregate services since 1976. We are currently accepting applications for an experienced Asphalt Plant Operator to complement our operations crew. We are seeking an individual who is reliable & dependable in all aspects of their day to day routine. This individual must have an experienced background in the Aggregate/Construction industry and capable of working independently, promote a positive & safe work environment while working with team members & management in a fast paced work environment.

Job Overview
The Asphalt Plant Operator is responsible for efficiently operating/maintaining the Asphalt Plant.

Responsibilities and Duties
  Operate and manage production of asphaltic material at plant.
  Coordinate loading and producing tickets for asphalt crews/customers.
  Understand the various asphalt mixes used in operations.
  Process outside sales of asphalt and communicate with the public.
  Participate in all plant repairs as required.
  Be the point of initial contact and coordination for all plant emergencies.
  Be responsible for the safe operations of the plant and personnel.
  Other related duties as required.

Qualification requirements
  Experience in the construction industry.
  Experience operating Asphalt plants for various paving jobs is an asset
  Ability to be a leader and direct loader operators and ground workers
  Ability to work outdoors, at heights and in confined spaces
  Overtime as required; available for work every day of the week
  Strong communication skills
  Ability to work in a high production, high pressure setting
  Physical abilities include standing for long periods of time, vigorous working conditions in extreme heat during peak periods.
  Valid drivers license (Class 5)
