Grade 7 Homeroom
Nawigizigweyas Education Centre is a K to12 school, located 1hr East of Humboldt, Saskatchewan on Yellow Quill First Nation. The school is now accepting applications for the following teaching position for the 2019-2020 school year.
Position Available::
Grade 7 Teacher- To develop long-range plans, Units by design (UBDs) and goals on an annual basis, knowledge of curriculum programming and strong classroom management. Possess excellent communication skills both orally and written to deal effectively with students, fellow employees, band membership and the general public. Possess strong organizational, interpersonal skills and the ability to work with minimum supervision. Knowledge of Saulteaux Language, Culture and Traditions would be an asset and a strong commitment to the community and membership. Perform such other duties as may be required or assigned by the immediate supervisor
Qualifications:
Professional "A" teaching certificate.
Knowledge of First Nations Culture.
Experience in a cross-cultural education.
Ability to participate in Extra Curricular activities and the ability to coach intercollegiate and organized sports.
