Like Kids? Like Singing? We might be just what you're looking for!

Sing Like A STAR is coming to Saskatoon and we want YOU to be a part of our team! You do NOT need extensive vocal training or be able to play an instrument to be great at this position. What is most important to us, is finding instructors who are great with kids, have some experience instructing a group and have a fun positive attitude.

The big difference between our program and other music programs for kids, is that we use music, which is currently in the radio, to teach kids the same singing skills they would be learning in classical music lessons. We just do it using the music that they like, in a fun, laid back, encouraging environment, which is designed to make young people feel like a star.
An outline of what to teach as well as all music you need is all provided for you. Aside from the songs themselves, some of skills we teach include:
- sitting up straight (proper posture)
- vowels (you gotta open your mouth to sing Ah)
- basic musicality (quite vs. loud, fast vs. slow, high pitches vs. low pitches)
- cool lingo (can you explain what background vocals are, what a cover song is, etc.? Even if you can't, we'd be happy to help bring your vocab up to 2019)
- stage presence (smiling, not picking your nose...)

We have been operating our program in Regina and surrounding areas for eight years now and are SO excited to finally expand into Saskatoon. We have lined up an amazing venue for our Saskatoon students and absolutely cannot wait to get started!

Commitment required  Ideally, we are looking for someone who would like to get involved in our program for at least a couple years. We can be flexible on which days) we will hold our classes but have them posted for Tuesday and Thursday nights on our website in the meantime, so that we can begin accepting registrations. Group lessons typically run from Sept-Dec, Jan-Apr and then May & June.
