POSITION AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In support of Camecos exploration projects, you will assist in the execution of exploration drill programs. The majority of your time will be spent in the field with your activities directed by a project geologist or their designate.
While in the field, you will be responsible for geoscientific data collection through drill core logging, drill core sampling, probing drill holes with geophysical tools, creating and maintaining interpretive cross sections, handling drill core boxes, flagging the position of drill trails and drill holes, and other duties associated with drill programs as assigned. You will collect and record observations while working within a digital environment using specialized software. You will also be responsible for the population and management of relevant database files. Office-related activities include data compilation and interpretation, as well as assisting the project geologist with reporting.
*This is a temporary position for approximately one year.
Education and Qualifications
Requirements of the position:
Bachelors degree in geology or geological engineering
0 2 years of relevant work experience
Ability to work in remote locations for extended periods of time
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Excellent communication, interpersonal and analytical skills
Assets:
First Aid, ATV and/or snowmobile training
Preference will be given to qualified internal candidates and Residents of Saskatchewans North.
