Under the direction of the Health Director, the Daycare Coordinator is responsible for the overall planning, delivery, and evaluation of daycare, headstart, and other related early childhood programs at Saulteaux First Nation.
QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate will possess:
2 Year Diploma in Early Childhood Education/Development or relevant combination of education and experience
Current First Aid/CPR Certification
Safe Food Handling Certificate
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers License and insurable under corporate insurance policy
CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer Literacy
Ability to speak Cree or Saulteaux would be an asset
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide overall management of Early Childhood Development programs, including program management, human resource management, reporting and accountability
Liaison with program partners
Supervise and evaluate the performance of program staff
Provide support information and resources to program participants
Register new families and foster community relations
Coordinate the daily operations of the programs including quality program planning and training of new staff, ensuring the schedules and responsibilities are met
Organizes and chairs team meetings
Performs administrative duties related to the position such as registration forms, attendance and fire drills
Meet and maintain program reporting requirements
