Viterra is seeking a Grader. The successful candidate will be responsible for all quality control measures and programs for receiving, binning and shipping any and all products to and from the terminal.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for grading, dockage, moisture and protein assessments of all inward and outward grain/special crops.
Ensure staff is current on CGC primary and export standards and tolerances for all types and varieties of grains and oilseeds, as well as knowledge of grading factors detrimental to end use quality.
Maintain accurate records of farm samples, delivery samples, binning, cleaning and transferring.
Determine blending opportunities to ensure appropriate grade and quality and to maximize revenue gains on inventory.
Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated knowledge of grain regulations and policies.
Demonstrated ability to prepare stocks to meet shipping specifications.
Mechanical aptitude.
Ability to calibrate assessment tools.
Education and Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in grain grading.
Grade 12 or equivalent. Level three grain grading is required.
Equivalent combinations of education and experience that result in the required level of knowledge skill and competence will be considered.
