Description

The Terminal Operators primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently load and unload various types of products. The Terminal Operator will be working with mobile rail equipment, handling various products ranging from grain to hazardous chemical. It is expected that the operator will have the ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies.
Operator will be responsible for the daily unloading of various materials consisting of a variety of bulk liquid and dry products
Ability to understand and follow operating procedures and policies
Ability to operate or learn to operate railcar loading systems and equipment
Ability to perform work safely and productively
Accurately completing necessary documentation
Adheres to company safety policies and procedures and willing to enforce them with other employees and visitors
General maintenance, landscaping, cleaning.
Willing to work a rotating shift work schedule, overtime, holidays, nights and weekends as required.
Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards
Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
Physical Requirements:
Physically able to climb up and down railcars/ladders safely, walk up and down steps, and work at heights
Willing to work outside in inclement weather
Willing to receive general safety training as it applies to work tasks
Willing to work with liquid hazardous, dry bulk materials & dusty environment
Can carry at least fifty (50) pounds
In good physical condition (able to walk one (1) to two (2) miles per shift)
Qualifications
Read, write, and understand English
Basic math skills
Computer skills (light data entry)
Valid Drivers License
As a part of the pre-employment selection process, candidates are required to submit to and receive satisfactory results from all pre-employment criminal background, personal security background, drug, and reference checks.
Must be 18 years of Age.
